Hazards, bounce walls, and sightlines change the duel. Neon Grid is pure skill. Lava Lanes punish camping.

Training range

Warm up aim, movement, and specials against a practice dummy or a patient CPU. Perfect for kids learning the keys.

Warm-up goals

  • Land 10 shots without missing
  • Strafe while firing (never stand still)
  • Pick up every power-up once
  • Win a round without taking damage

Dad + kid tips

  • P1 on left keys, P2 on right
  • Start on Easy CPU before local battles
  • Sudden Death is great for final rounds
  • Mute lives in the top bar if homework mode hits

Drill cards

Strafe circle

Orbit the dummy for 30 seconds without stopping. Fire only on the far side of each lap.

Wall bank

On Crystal Dome, land five wall-bounce hits before a direct hit.

Shield clutch

Ignore all power-ups until below 40 HP, then only take Shield or Repair.

Legend lab

Survive 45 seconds against Legend CPU without winning. Focus on not dying.

Kid coach mode

Adult plays P2 with one hand only. Kid plays P1 full controls.

Map rotation

Play six single rounds, one on each arena, same fighters.

How to play DuelCore

If you know Scratch-style 1v1 arena shooters, you already know the soul. This is that feeling with modern juice.

Player 1 controls

W A S D move. Mouse aims the gun. Left-click (hold ok) fires. E still fires. Right-click or Shift fires Ultimate when charged. Perfect for kids and couch coaches.

Player 2 controls

Arrow keys move. Space fires. Perfect for couch co-op on one keyboard.

Combat rules

  • Deplete the rival HP bar to win the round
  • Series wins (Bo3/Bo5) crown the match
  • Power-ups spawn on a timer
  • Walls bounce shots on some maps

Fighters spawn on opposite halves. Invulnerability is short. Read the map hazards first.

Combo counter rewards chained hits. Do not greed into walls on bounce maps.

Play the edges. Shield power-ups flip rounds harder than raw damage.

Balance notes

Spark vs Volt

Spark wins mid-range trades. Volt wins if the fight becomes a chase. Cut angles early.

Titan vs Ember

Titan can absorb Ember openers. Ember must juke and land two clean heavies.

Frost lanes

Frost owns choke maps like Lava Lanes. Chill shots punish tunnel vision.

Pixel chaos

Pixel spreads shine up close. Outside mid range the pellets become easy to read.

Ghost dash

Ghost fires create a short blink. Use it to cross lava or dodge a committed mega.

Nova tempo

Nova is slow to cycle. Hold angles and force the rival to walk into the heavy.

CPU Easy

Best teaching mode. Misses often, telegraphs shots, soft tracking.

CPU Legend

Leads shots, dodges bullets, contests power-ups. Respect the spacing.
